This role is crucial in developing and executing strategies for AWS's energy projects and partnerships with electric utilities.

The position involves managing large-scale power infrastructure projects across multiple geographies, requiring close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. The role demands expertise in exploring new supply opportunities that align with AWS's commitment to net-zero carbon supply while optimizing energy capital and operating expenses.

Key responsibilities include developing comprehensive utilities strategies for AWS data centers, managing utility partnerships, coordinating with real estate and engineering teams, and overseeing high-voltage power infrastructure projects. The role requires strong negotiation skills for power supply contracts and the ability to create innovative supply structures that integrate renewable energy portfolios.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong energy background with proven experience in developing innovative energy projects. Experience with regulated electric utilities and high-voltage power infrastructure is essential. The role requires strategic thinking combined with tactical execution capabilities, especially in high-speed, constrained environments.

The company values work-life harmony and maintains an inclusive culture that celebrates diversity through employee-led affinity groups and ongoing learning experiences. The position includes competitive compensation with a base salary range of $83,100 to $177,800 per year, depending on location, plus additional benefits including equity, sign-on payments, and comprehensive medical coverage.

This role is part of AWS Infrastructure Services, which owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. The team is uniquely positioned to execute innovative energy solutions that accelerate sustainability goals while improving power reliability and optimizing costs.
