This role is for an Engineering Operation Technician position within AWS data centers, focusing on maintaining critical infrastructure with 99.999% uptime requirements.
The position involves hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation, including work with standby diesel generators, switchboards, UPS systems, PDUs, AHUs, pumps, motors, and building automation systems. You'll be part of a team that ensures the continuous operation of AWS data centers, working on a shift basis that may include nights and weekends.
As an EOT, you'll be responsible for daily operational checks, maintenance tasks, contractor supervision, and emergency response. The role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work in various environmental conditions. You'll collaborate with Data Centre Operations technicians and contribute to root cause analysis of equipment failures.
