AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We're the people who keep the cloud running, supporting all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure customers have continual access to innovation.
As an Engineering Operations Technician I (EOT I), you'll:
- Drive innovation while reducing operational costs in the facilities
- Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs
- Perform rack installs, rack decommissioning, operational readings, and facility management
- Provide key performance indicators to senior engineers
- Manage on-site contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors
- Oversee maintenance and operations on electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures
- Perform basic support tasks using ticketing systems, root cause analysis, change management, and building management systems
- Work in shifts up to 12-hours, potentially rotating on a predefined schedule
- Maintain data center critical infrastructure equipment ensuring 99.999% up-time
Physical requirements include walking on uneven terrain, lifting up to 39 pounds unassisted, and participating in group lifts for 40+ pounds.
