Description For Engineering Operations Technician

This role as an Engineering Operations Technician puts you at the forefront of maintaining and operating critical infrastructure in some of the world's most sophisticated data centers. You'll be part of a team that ensures 24/7 reliability of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.

The position combines hands-on technical work with monitoring and management responsibilities. Responsibilities For Engineering Operations Technician

  • Monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
  • Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS)
  • Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs
  • Perform rack installations and decommissioning
  • Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis of electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Technical writing for change management
  • Monitor and resolve daily work requests
  • Provide on-site support for contractors and vendors

Requirements For Engineering Operations Technician

Linux
  • Technical (Military/Trade School) training or 1+ years of electrical or mechanical, HVAC, fire system experience
  • 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
  • 1+ years experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • Ability to lift and move up to 39 pounds independently
  • Physical capability to perform construction tasks on ladders
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts and rotating schedules
