Responsibilities For Engineering Operations Technician, Data Center Engineering Operations
- Operate and maintain mechanical, electrical and HVAC equipment within the Data Center
- Supervise contractors performing servicing or preventive maintenance
- Develop work plans for emergency repair of critical assets
- Perform on-call and rotating schedule duties
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and physical security policies
- Perform rack power installs, PDU, and ATS replacements
- Create and close work orders with appropriate documentation
- Monitor and maintain mission-critical infrastructure
- Respond to and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment issues
- Maintain 99.999% uptime for mission-critical servers
Requirements For Engineering Operations Technician, Data Center Engineering Operations
- Good English communication skills
- Apprentice/trades certified or diploma in an Electrical field
- Demonstrate key electrical competencies and knowledge of mechanical systems
- Familiar with BMS and EPMS control systems and data collection/trending
- Ability to work on a 24x7 schedule
- Physical ability to work at heights and from ladders
- Experience with mechanical and electrical systems troubleshooting
