As an Engineering Operations Technician, you'll join a diverse team working with some of the world's most sophisticated data centers.

The position involves hands-on work with critical infrastructure, including electrical systems (generators, UPS units, PDUs), mechanical systems (chillers, cooling towers, HVAC), and fire/life safety equipment. You'll be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting these systems while ensuring compliance with established practices and procedures.

Responsibilities For Engineering Operations Technician, Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO)

  • Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
  • Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS)
  • Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs
  • Perform rack installs and decommissioning
  • Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis of electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Technical writing for change management program
  • Monitor and resolve daily work requests
  • Provide on-site support for contractors and vendors
  • Work rotating 12-hour shifts with possible on-call duties

Requirements For Engineering Operations Technician, Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO)

Linux
  • Technical (Military/Trade School) training or 2+ years of electrical or mechanical, HVAC, fire system experience
  • 2+ years' experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • Ability to lift and move up to 39 pounds independently
  • Ability to participate in group lifts for 40+ pounds
  • Physical ability to work on ladders, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb stairs
