AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. This role is crucial in maintaining AWS data centers and ensuring 24/7 reliability. As an Engineering Operations Technician, you'll be part of the team that keeps the cloud running, working with critical infrastructure including electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and fire/life safety systems.
The position involves hands-on work with mission-critical data center facility equipment, including standby diesel generators, fuel systems, 3-phase electrical systems, UPS units, PDUs, and wet cell batteries. You'll also work with mechanical equipment such as CRAHU units, centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, and various water systems.
You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, collaborating across AWS to maintain the highest standards of safety and security.
