AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Facilities Operations Centre (FOC) Engineer to join their Data Centre Global Engineering Operations team. This role is crucial in managing AWS's global infrastructure, specifically focusing on 24x7 monitoring of data centre physical infrastructure. The position involves working with both IT and facilities infrastructure in large-scale data centers.
The FOC Engineer will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining critical facility systems, handling Large Scale Events (LSEs) and Critical Site Events (CSEs), and ensuring optimal customer experience through consistency and reliability. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise in data centre operations and leadership skills to help establish a new Facilities Operations Centre.
The position offers a comprehensive training program lasting 6-12 months, during which candidates will rotate through various AWS locations before being permanently placed. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of electrical or mechanical experience, along with data centre operations background.
