Description For Field Test Engineer, MSP

Amazon MSP (Mechatronics and Sustainable Packaging) is seeking a motivated and hands-on Test Engineer to join their Design and Test team. This role is part of a multi-disciplinary environment focused on advancing automation technology for fulfilling millions of customer orders daily. The position involves working with hardware, electrical, and controls development engineers to define, execute, and report on verification and validation tests.

The ANR10 test and design team is responsible for ensuring proper development of mechatronic systems, from requirements gathering to system architecture and design validation. This role offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge automation technology and contribute to Amazon's innovative packaging and fulfillment solutions.

The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in automation testing with strong problem-solving abilities. Responsibilities For Field Test Engineer, MSP

  • Develop and execute test plans for mechanical, electrical, and control systems
  • Perform functional, integration, and acceptance testing of automation equipment
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in mechanical, electrical, and control systems
  • Document test results and recommend design improvements

Requirements For Field Test Engineer, MSP

Linux
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering
  • Experience testing industrial automation or packaging machinery
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with testing equipment, processes and standards
  • Good command of English (required)
  • Knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens, Beckhoff, Rockwell, Codesys)
  • Knowledge of industrial protocols (EtherCAT, Modbus)
  • Knowledge of LV & HV industrial electrical panels and safety standards
