Description For Finance Business Intelligence Engineer, FinOps FP&A

Amazon's Global Finance Solutions (GFS) team is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer to support their LATAM BIE team. The role involves owning the production and delivery of reports used for key business decisions. The ideal candidate should have strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to prioritize effectively. Key responsibilities include:

  • Taking data analysis and insights capability to the next level
  • Converting data into digestible business intelligence and actionable information
  • Shaping and delivering key metrics, reports, and indicators
  • Diving deep into large data sets to answer specific business questions
  • Working directly with business teams to determine improvement opportunities
  • Creating and supporting AWS Cloud solutions

Tools used include SQL (Oracle and Redshift), ETL tools, Excel, QuickSight, and Python. The role requires knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, CI/CD, and Coding Version Control Experience (e.g., Git).

Requirements For Finance Business Intelligence Engineer, FinOps FP&A

Python
  • 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)
  • Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)
