Amazon Robotics is seeking experienced Firmware Engineers to join their innovative team working on a groundbreaking automation system for warehouse operations. This role combines robotics, software development, and systems integration to transform how warehouses function. You'll be working with cutting-edge technology, developing software for controlling robotic systems, and implementing solutions that scale in live environments.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of robotics and software engineering, where you'll be responsible for designing and developing firmware that controls sophisticated robotics systems. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers and software developers, to create integrated solutions that power Amazon's next-generation warehouse automation.

The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in robotic path planning, motion control, and computer vision, combined with solid software development skills. You'll be working with cloud technologies (preferably AWS) and edge computing solutions, requiring both theoretical knowledge and practical implementation skills. The role involves hands-on work with hardware, troubleshooting complex systems, and building robust testing frameworks.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about robotics and firmware development who wants to make a significant impact on large-scale automation systems. The position offers competitive benefits, including comprehensive healthcare, retirement plans, and parental leave options. While based in the Boston area, the role requires 15-20% travel for onsite system testing, offering a perfect blend of local development work and hands-on field experience.
