Description For FPGA Verification Engineer, Kuiper Payload FPGA

Project Kuiper, an ambitious Amazon initiative, is seeking a Senior FPGA Verification Engineer to join their satellite communications team. This role presents a unique opportunity to work on a groundbreaking satellite communication system with minimal legacy constraints.

The position involves working with cutting-edge FPGA technology for satellite communications, focusing on verifying digital designs for networking functions. You'll be part of the team responsible for creating and maintaining verification environments and test suites for FPGA-based subsystems that are crucial to Project Kuiper's mission of providing global broadband connectivity.

As an FPGA Verification Engineer, you'll collaborate closely with design and systems teams to develop and implement UVM test environments. Your work will directly impact the verification and qualification of FPGA designs that are integral to Project Kuiper's ecosystem. The role requires expertise in SystemVerilog/UVM, constrained-random testing, and modern verification methodologies.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $129,800 to $212,800 based on location and experience, plus additional benefits including equity opportunities and comprehensive medical coverage. This is an in-person role requiring presence in the office 5 days a week.

Key technical requirements include 5+ years of FPGA/ASIC design verification experience, proficiency with industry-standard tools like Synopsys and Vivado, and strong expertise in verification methodologies. The role also offers growth opportunities through mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the development of reusable Verification IP.

Due to export control requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or lawfully admitted refugees/asylees. This position is ideal for someone who wants to contribute to a revolutionary space technology project while working with a team of talented engineers in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
