Front End Engineer, GREF Tech

The Global Real Estate and Facilities Tech team, part of Finance Automation, is the software development team for GREF. This team develops services, products, and tools to enable Amazon's corporate real estate team to build and operate the company's global facilities in more than 60 countries. We are tasked with building systems that deliver a seamless, adaptive, and creative workspace experience.

As a Front End Engineer in the GREF Tech team, you will:

• Define scalable front end architectures, own and implement specific components, and help shape the overall user experience
• Contribute to defining best practices for front end development
• Collaborate closely with UX Designers, Product Managers, and generalist Software Development Engineers to deliver products
• Contribute to planning, design, implementation, testing, operations, and process improvement
• Take responsibility for technical problem-solving, creatively meeting product goals, and developing best practices
• Design and develop a wide variety of front-end technologies, web applications, and mobile apps
• Mentor and support the growth of other developers

This role offers autonomy and ownership on decisions, working directly with customers. There are ample opportunities for growth due to high visibility work and the presence of senior engineering talent for guidance and mentorship. You will leverage technical skills like front-end development and end-to-end system design with resiliency.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience
• 1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
• Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of agile software development methodology experience
• Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node
