Description For Front End Engineer, Project Kuiper

Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to revolutionize global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of developing software applications and services for this advanced global telecom service.

The role focuses on designing, implementing, and operating globally available distributed systems for controlling, managing, and monitoring Kuiper's terrestrial devices. You'll work with cutting-edge AWS technologies while adhering to industry-best software engineering practices. The position involves building critical components of Project Kuiper's Customer Engagement Systems and interaction with the core Kuiper Network.

You'll be part of a team responsible for managing the complete customer lifecycle for telecom services, including identity and account management, subscriber management, billing and payments, customer support tools, and analytics. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on a project that aims to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide.

The role requires strong technical expertise in frontend development and distributed systems, with opportunities to work on everything from idea generation to technical design and implementation. You'll collaborate closely with various teams, including device software, satellite, networking, and security engineering, ensuring the best experience for customers.

The compensation is competitive, ranging from $129,300 to $223,600 based on location, plus additional benefits including equity and sign-on payments.
