Project Kuiper, an ambitious Amazon initiative, is revolutionizing global connectivity through a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites. As a Hardware Development Engineer focusing on OISL Reliability, you'll be integral to the Inter-Satellite Link Avionics team. This role combines hardware engineering expertise with spacecraft systems, requiring deep knowledge of board design, component selection, and electrical systems reliability.

Responsibilities For Hardware Development Engineer, OISL Reliability

  • Lead board design and component selection
  • Conduct layout review and board bring-up and test
  • Ensure high quality and innovative designs
  • Support Project Kuiper colleagues with reviewing and improving board and electrical designs
  • Design various electrical functions including analog sensor signal conditioning and processing
  • Manage analog actuator control and monitoring across spacecraft interfaces

Requirements For Hardware Development Engineer, OISL Reliability

Python
  • B.S. in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in hardware development across full product life cycle
  • Experience with board reliability designs
  • Experience with schematic and layout ECAD tools
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or refugee/asylee due to export control laws
