Hardware Robotics Dev Engineer, Amazon Robotics

The Amazon Robotics team is seeking broad, curious engineers to join our robotic manipulation team. We holistically design, build, and deliver end-to-end robotic systems. Our team is responsible for core infrastructure and tools that serve as the backbone of our robotic applications, enabling roboticists, machine learning scientists, software engineers, and hardware engineers to deploy systems in the field.

As a Robotics Hardware Engineer, you will:

• Design, build, and test innovative systems and module designs such as robotic end of arm tools for our robot FC solutions
• Work with an interdisciplinary team to create, test and deploy new mechatronic designs, and improve and maintain existing product designs
• Write requirements and functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures
• Collaborate with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality organizations as well as vendors to ensure a smooth production transition of design changes

The ideal candidate has experience designing and analyzing mechanical systems, enjoys analytical problem solving and possesses practical knowledge of building first of a kind systems.
