Description For High Speed Validation Engineer, Devices and Services

The Amazon Devices team is seeking a Senior Signal Integrity Validation Engineer to join their innovative consumer electronics division. This role is part of the team behind successful products like Kindle, Fire tablets, Fire TV, Amazon Dash, and Amazon Echo. As a Sr. SI Validation Engineer, you'll be responsible for simulations, tests, and validation of high-speed digital interfaces on new products and components. The position requires expertise in high-speed validation, interface compliance testing, and embedded system debug.

You'll work closely with EE design, compliance, and software teams, focusing on PCB and product systems level tasks. Key responsibilities include performing SI and PI simulations, developing validation plans, optimizing hardware performance, and debugging issues. You'll also be instrumental in developing test setups, creating firmware and scripts for hardware testing, and mentoring team members on best practices.

The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $105,600 to $185,000 per year, depending on location and experience.   • Perform pre-layout and post-layout SI and PI simulations
  • Work with design teams to develop and execute validation plans
  • Tune custom hardware to optimize Signal Integrity and cross-functional performance
  • Work with design team to debug issues
  • Develop test set-ups and research new validation technologies
  • Develop firmware/scripts/applications to test the hardware
  • Provide functional verification of electrical subsystems
  • Report validation status
  • Mentor team members on Signal Integrity and Lab Validation best-practices
