ICT Design Engineer, DC Design Engineering

AWS Infrastructure Services is at the heart of keeping the cloud running, owning the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. This ICT Design Engineer role focuses on revolutionizing the design of critical communications pathways, spaces, and cabling within AWS data centers.

As an ICT Design Engineer, you'll join a diverse global engineering team working alongside software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, and security experts. You'll be responsible for developing pathway, space, and cabling designs, creating specifications for construction and permitting, and engaging with industry suppliers to define product requirements and explore emerging technologies.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering scalable fiber optic & copper plant designs and specifications
• Reviewing ICT pathway, cabling and equipment submittals
• Managing risks and high-priority issues
• Supporting new technology initiatives to improve infrastructure quality
• Traveling 20+% to AWS Data Centers for project reviews
