Industrial Design Engineer, R2L Design

Amazon's Rural and Rapid Logistics Design team (R2L) is seeking an experienced Industrial Designer to join their Design Engineering team. This role focuses on developing next-generation fulfillment, delivery, and transportation systems, supporting the expansion of Rural Delivery and Sub Same Day delivery networks. The position involves driving process engineering, building design, and standardization across Amazon's Last Mile delivery network.

The role requires a unique blend of technical expertise and project management skills, where you'll be responsible for designing and optimizing delivery and sortation networks while ensuring safety, customer experience, quality, and cost goals are met. You'll create detailed drawings of material handling equipment, work areas, and storage equipment, while also supporting future initiatives.

As an Industrial Design Engineer, you'll collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate cost-effective solutions under tight deadlines. The position demands excellent multitasking abilities and strong communication skills to effectively manage relationships with business partners, contractors, and vendors. The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $89,400 to $185,000 based on location and experience, plus comprehensive benefits.
