AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Fiber Delivery Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (FD-TIPM) to join their team responsible for managing the world's largest cloud infrastructure. This role is crucial in developing and scaling one of the world's most complex networks, overseeing design reviews across AWS's rapidly expanding global data center portfolio, which is growing at 33% year over year.

As an FD-TIPM, you'll be part of a diverse and creative team tackling modern fiber construction's most fascinating challenges. You'll manage highly technical, cost-efficient communication construction project schedules to enable AWS Network growth. Key responsibilities include leading quality control programs, establishing design review processes, developing documentation, and maintaining performance metrics.

  • Drive implementation and operation of comprehensive global Quality Control design review program
  • Lead program of internal and external Quality Control Fiber Design Engineers
  • Establish and implement standardized design review processes
  • Oversee development and maintenance of engineering documentation
  • Develop and maintain design review checklists and quality control documentation
  • Create and maintain performance dashboards and KPIs
  • Collaborate with Data Center Engineering teams
  • Build and maintain strategic vendor relationships
  • Drive process improvements through data analysis
  • Lead regular executive updates and cross-functional team communications
  • Manage program budget and resource allocation across global regions

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience with technical data center or telecommunications infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of fiber optic infrastructure design and construction
  • Experience managing outsourced engineering teams and vendor relationships
  • Experience reviewing and marking up construction drawings and site plans
