Amazon's Worldwide Design Engineering team is seeking an innovative engineer to design the next generation of world-class fulfillment centers and logistics systems globally. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and robotics systems. As an Innovation and Design Engineer, you'll have significant ownership in solving complex problems and designing revolutionary logistics solutions.

Responsibilities For Innovation and Design Engineer, Worldwide Design Engineering

  • Design next generation of world-class fulfillment centers and logistics systems
  • Partner with internal and external teams to design high quality, cost effective solutions
  • Own multiple projects simultaneously, from concept realization through design approval
  • Serve as primary technical contact for suppliers on assigned projects
  • Hand-off projects to Ops Engineering team and support installation and commissioning
  • Work on green-fields, brown-fields, and retrofits projects
  • Design highly automated fulfillment centers, cross-dock facilities, and transportation centers

Requirements For Innovation and Design Engineer, Worldwide Design Engineering

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any discipline) or foreign equivalent or a related field, or 5+ years Amazon experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Design/Innovation Engineering, Manufacturing/Process/Industrial Engineering, or related
  • Experience must involve ownership/management of engineering design projects involving Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
  • Experience using business/technical software like MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software
