Responsibilities For Innovation and Design Engineer, Worldwide Design Engineering
- Design next generation of world-class fulfillment centers and logistics systems
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to design high quality, cost effective solutions
- Own multiple projects simultaneously, from concept realization through design approval
- Serve as primary technical contact for suppliers
- Support installation and commissioning of designed systems
- Work on green-fields, brown-fields, and retrofits projects
- Design highly automated fulfillment centers, cross-dock facilities, and transportation centers
Requirements For Innovation and Design Engineer, Worldwide Design Engineering
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any discipline) or foreign equivalent or a related field, or 5+ years Amazon experience
- 2+ years of experience in Design/Innovation Engineering, Manufacturing/Process/Industrial Engineering, or related
- Experience must involve ownership/management of engineering design projects
- Experience using business/technical software like MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software
