Description For IT Support Engineer

Amazon is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join their Ops Tech IT (OTS) team, playing a crucial role in maintaining the company's global operations. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology while supporting one of the world's largest e-commerce platforms. The role combines hands-on technical work with leadership opportunities, as you'll be responsible for both infrastructure management and team mentoring.

The position requires a blend of technical expertise and problem-solving skills, with responsibilities ranging from daily IT support to implementing strategic infrastructure improvements. You'll be based in Sered, Slovakia, but will have opportunities to travel to other operational sites both domestically and internationally. Responsibilities For IT Support Engineer

  • Support end-user equipment and building's IT infrastructure
  • Help with key network projects including IT setup of new Amazon buildings

Requirements For IT Support Engineer

Linux
  • Degree in computer science or another technical subject
  • Experience as administrator of heterogeneous networks with Microsoft Windows and Linux-based clients and servers
  • Experience with networking infrastructure and system integration
  • Valid driving license
  • Upper intermediate proficiency in verbal and written English and local language
