Amazon's Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) organization is seeking a Knowledge Engineer to join their innovative team in either London or Cambridge. This role sits at the intersection of AI and information delivery, focusing on making Alexa the world's best personal assistant through GenAI technology.

As a Knowledge Engineer, you'll be instrumental in building and managing knowledge graphs and data pipelines that power next-generation AI experiences. You'll work with cutting-edge technology while collaborating with a diverse team of engineers, scientists, and product managers to create culturally relevant and personalized AI interactions.

The role combines technical expertise in data structures and scripting with a strong focus on international customer needs. You'll be part of the AGI Information International Knowledge Engineering team, whose mission is to deliver relevant, engaging, and trustworthy AI-based experiences to international customers in their preferred language and device.

  • Build ontological constructs and ingest structured data into Knowledge Graphs
  • Develop and manage complex data pipelines
  • Monitor KPIs and perform deep dives to uncover gaps
  • Work with technical teams to implement solutions/improvements
  • Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and product managers
  • Work with UX designers and business development managers
  • Help ideate, define and build new customer experiences
  • Leverage culturally specific expertise for international customers

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a quantitative or analytical field
  • Concise clear written communication skills and excellent verbal communication ability
  • Experience working on simultaneous projects with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to solve complex problems with analytical thinking
  • Data analysis skills
  • Knowledge of SQL, SPARQL, or Cypher
  • Technical scripting ability (Python, Javascript, ETL, Excel)
  • Native speaking and writing proficiency in Italian and English
