Project Kuiper, Amazon's ambitious low Earth orbit satellite broadband initiative, is seeking a Lab Engineer specializing in Integrated Testing. This role is crucial for developing and maintaining the testing infrastructure for our satellite network components. Working on a 4x10 schedule, you'll be responsible for creating and optimizing test procedures, managing test equipment, and ensuring quality control in our production processes.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of space technology and internet connectivity, with the mission of bringing reliable broadband to underserved communities worldwide. Responsibilities For Lab Engineer - Integrated Test, Project Kuiper

  • Create spacecraft hardware test procedures for technicians
  • Establish and increase efficiency of environmental test processes
  • Serve as a point of support for test equipment and processes
  • Identify improvement opportunities and execute initiatives
  • Troubleshoot and identify root causes of issues in test processes
  • Establish production processes for 5S, FOD control, tool management
  • Enable production test autonomy

Requirements For Lab Engineer - Integrated Test, Project Kuiper

  • 2+ years in a Space/Aerospace/Military/Automotive hardware testing environment
  • 1+ years hands-on environmental test experience
  • 1+ years of project management of technical projects
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and P&I drawings
  • 1+ years working with Data Acquisition systems
  • Experience with installing test instrumentation
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or refugee/asylee due to export control laws
