Responsibilities For Lead Mechanical Design Engineer, Data Center Engineering

  • Drive Mechanical Engineering services design, construction and implementation of enterprise data centers
  • Work with Design Engineering Stakeholders, Construction, Operations, and Commissioning teams
  • Assist in Data Center site selection, planning, development
  • Maintain performance standards and utilize innovation to reduce PUE
  • Evaluate different cooling systems and make data driven decisions
  • Create designs meeting quality and budgetary requirements
  • Work with regional vendors and manufacturers to specify mechanical equipment
  • Review and approve equipment submittals
  • Define project scope and provide technical support
  • Work with commissioning teams to test and validate installation

Requirements For Lead Mechanical Design Engineer, Data Center Engineering

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering or relevant discipline
  • 5+ years of mission critical design experience
  • 3+ years of experience in project management
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations across the APAC region
  • Experience with fast track design/build projects
  • Ability to research new designs, technologies, and construction methods
  • Ability to perform complex business cases and present to management
