Machine Learning Engineer, AI Research & Education

AWS AI Research & Education is seeking world-class scientists and engineers to work on foundation models, large-scale representation learning, and distributed learning methods and systems. As a Machine Learning Engineer in this role, you will:

• Invent, implement, and deploy state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms and systems
• Build prototypes and innovate on new representation learning solutions
• Interact closely with customers and the academic and research communities
• Work on areas such as:
  • Hardware-informed efficient model architecture, training objective, and curriculum design
  • Distributed training and accelerated optimization methods
  • Continual learning, multi-task/meta learning
  • Reasoning, interactive learning, reinforcement learning
  • Robustness, privacy, model watermarking
  • Model compression, distillation, pruning, sparsification, quantization

You'll be part of the Utility Computing (UC) organization, which provides product innovations from foundational services like Amazon S3 and EC2 to new product innovations that set AWS apart in the industry. This position offers a competitive salary range of $129,300 to $223,600 per year, depending on the geographic market, along with equity, sign-on payments, and a full range of benefits.
