Machine Learning Engineer II, Just Walk Out (JWO)

As part of the AWS Solutions organization, this role focuses on developing Amazon's Just Walk Out Technology for Amazon Go stores. The Machine Learning Engineer II will be responsible for:

• Translating business requirements into concrete deliverables
• Designing, developing, testing, and deploying highly scalable distributed services
• Working with scientists and engineers to implement sophisticated algorithms
• Building and evaluating prototypes and production-ready components
• Working with scalable model development tools using SageMaker, AWS, Nvidia GPUs and Docker
• Automating model training, evaluation, deployment and monitoring
• Developing algorithms ranging from classical machine learning to foundational multi-modal models

The role is part of the innovative Just Walk Out Technology team that enables checkout-free shopping experiences using computer vision, sensor fusion, and advanced machine learning. The technology automatically detects when products are taken from or returned to shelves and tracks them in a virtual cart.
