Maintenance Shift Manager (Jesi), RME

The Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team is at the forefront of making Amazon a company synonymous with innovation. As a Senior RME Technician, you will help us stay at the cutting edge, adopting the most innovative technologies and identifying new ways of working with maximum efficiency.

Key responsibilities:

• Demonstrate safe practices for machinery use, monitoring teams to ensure everyone follows correct processes.
• Monitor equipment performance through visual checks, condition-based monitoring, and preventive maintenance, scheduling extraordinary maintenance when necessary.
• Supervise technical staff during shifts, promoting their development and acting as the main point of contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers.
• Solve machinery problems to reduce activity interruptions and allow packages to be processed as quickly as possible.
• Assist in defining strategies for continuous system improvement and process standardization across our European network.

A day in the life: Throughout all shifts, you will lead your team, ensuring everyone has the necessary equipment and that it's in perfect working condition. You'll monitor processes, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies, and perform preventive maintenance to extend machinery life cycles. Based on observations during work shifts, you'll propose improvements to increase system efficiency and productivity, then implement them across all European locations. You'll also monitor processes using tools like Scada to ensure performance and work closely with line managers in handling administrative tasks.

Your work will take place in one of our operations centers and will be organized in shifts, sometimes on weekends and nights. As you gain experience in this dynamic branch of Amazon, you'll be well-positioned to advance your career in more senior roles.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• Extensive experience in a technical managerial role
• Extensive professional experience in electrical and mechanical fields
• Extensive experience in automation or contexts involving material handling machinery
• Advanced knowledge of spoken and written Italian, and basic knowledge of English

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional experience in work contexts involving multiple external contractors across multiple locations
• Understanding of PLC-based control systems and regulatory compliance requirements
• Experience using computerized maintenance management systems for proactive maintenance planning and reactive maintenance recording
• Degree preferably in a technical field, operations, or business administration
