Responsibilities For Manager Mechanical Engineer
- Owning the delivery of Mechanical products to market on time, in budget and at targeted performance
- Scoping, managing, and delivering multiple technical projects from concept to production
- Developing and reporting performance metrics for the mechanical engineering team
- Recruiting and developing team members
- Evaluating and identifying improvements to overall design processes
- Maintaining high level communications with cross-functional team and partners
- Interfacing with engineering managers, product management, and program management
Requirements For Manager Mechanical Engineer
- BS / MS Mechanical Engineering (or similar field)
- 10 years or more of experience in mechanical design, 3+ years of management experience
- Familiar with industry standard CAD & FEA design tools
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a design team
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience with project management of technical projects
- Commitment to rigorous testing & validation practices
