Responsibilities For Manager of Construction, Data Center Construction, AWS
- Own project scope, quality, schedule, and budget for construction of new builds or general capital projects
- Own construction project management and oversight of construction related activities
- Be Amazon's construction representative on multiple data centers
- Create construction project Scope of Work (SOW) and Request for Proposals (RFP)
- Manage and drive cost, schedule, and quality while managing construction contractors and vendors
- Support commissioning and integrated system testing and oversight
- Analyze and report construction progress and financials
- Provide constructability reviews for civil, structural, electrical and mechanical designs
Requirements For Manager of Construction, Data Center Construction, AWS
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent engineering science plus 10 years of relevant construction experience, OR 14 years of relevant construction experience
- 5+ years of experience directly managing, mentoring, leading, and coaching teams of construction professionals
- 6+ years of experience in construction management of large, complex projects involving large-scale MEP plants
- 6+ years of general contractor and vendor management experience
- 5+ years of experience managing construction of complex electrical and mechanical engineering systems
