Description For Manager, Technical Program Management, Robotic Sortation Tech

Amazon Robotics is seeking a talented and motivated Manager of Technical Program Management (Manager, TPM) to join their Robotic Sortation Tech organization. This role focuses on leading next-generation sortation products while supporting existing solutions in the field. The position involves managing a team of TPMs who drive innovative programs aimed at improving efficiency and reducing costs in Amazon's Fulfillment Centers and Sortation Centers.

The role requires a strong background in Technical Project/Program Management or Engineering, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving program delivery while serving as a liaison between various teams including Systems Engineering, Deployment Engineering, Solutions, Manufacturing & Supply Chain, Product, and Customer Support.

The AR Sortation Solutions Vertical is crucial in delivering and maintaining high-performing package sortation solutions throughout Amazon's network. The team collaborates closely with customers and other verticals, including Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Tech Ops, GSS, Manipulation, Mobility, Core Software, and more.

This position offers the unique opportunity to build systems that benefit millions of customers and support sellers globally. Responsibilities For Manager, Technical Program Management, Robotic Sortation Tech

  • Manage a team of up to ten TPMs owning individual career growth and performance
  • Drive leadership discussions to manage technical escalation and tradeoff decisions
  • Lead the delivery of complex sortation solutions across engineering disciplines
  • Drive consensus on technical decisions and ensure appropriate resource allocation
  • Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at the program level
  • Create and maintain project information for stakeholders
  • Develop and drive engineering project schedules
  • Partner with external groups to deliver project goals
  • Triage, prioritize, and execute incoming requests

Requirements For Manager, Technical Program Management, Robotic Sortation Tech

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 7+ years experience working directly with engineering teams
  • 5+ years experience managing and leading technical teams
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams
  • Experience building processes and coordinating release schedules
