You'll spend 40% of your time on the shop floor, working directly with production teams to implement and optimize testing processes. Another 30% will be dedicated to independent development work, analyzing data and implementing improvements. The remaining 30% involves collaboration with cross-functional teams on various aspects of production and quality control.

Responsibilities For Manufacturing Test Engineer, Project Kuiper

  • Own the execution of test campaigns for sub-assemblies to ensure readiness for satellite integration
  • Specify test equipment requirements
  • Develop and execute test plans to support development and production test initiatives
  • Optimize test processes to enable Project Kuiper production ramp plans
  • Work with production teams to implement new processes
  • Review & solve key technical blockers in production
  • Perform production development testing
  • Analyze production and test data to identify and implement key production improvement actions
  • Develop & execute existing roadmaps for capacity increase and process simplification

Requirements For Manufacturing Test Engineer, Project Kuiper

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, computer science or a related field
  • 2+ years of hands-on testing experience
  • 2+ years experience developing and executing test plans for complex aerospace, automotive or consumer electronics systems
  • 1+ years of scripting or programming experience (Python, MATLAB, C, Labview)
  • Solid understanding of Engineering and Testing fundamentals
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
