Responsibilities For Mechanical Design Engineer, Data Center Design Engineering

  • Work with internal teams to understand user requirements
  • Data center mechanical designs and collaboration with other disciplines
  • Creation of designs meeting quality and budgetary requirements
  • Work with regional vendors and manufacturers to specify mechanical equipment
  • Work with local utilities to define site utility requirements
  • Review and approval of equipment submittals
  • Define project scopes and provide technical support
  • Work with commissioning teams
  • Travel to sites for review and engineering evaluations (up to 20% travel)

Requirements For Mechanical Design Engineer, Data Center Design Engineering

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or 6+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Cumulative 2+ years of relevant industry experience with industrial or commercial mechanical HVAC design
  • Experience developing design documentation (plans, specifications, etc.) for construction and/or permitting
