Responsibilities For Mechanical Design Engineer, Data Center Design Engineering
- Design resilient, cost-effective mechanical distribution systems
- Work with internal teams to understand user requirements
- Create data center mechanical designs and collaborate with other disciplines
- Work with regional vendors and manufacturers to specify appropriate mechanical equipment
- Work with local utilities to define site utility requirements
- Review and approve equipment submittals
- Support construction phases and provide technical support
- Work with commissioning teams for system validation
- Travel to sites for reviews and engineering evaluations
Requirements For Mechanical Design Engineer, Data Center Design Engineering
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or 6+ years of relevant industry experience
- Cumulative 2+ year of experience with industrial or commercial mechanical HVAC design
- Experience developing design documentation for construction and/or permitting
- Ability to work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical regions
- Willingness to travel (up to 20%)
