Responsibilities For Mechanical Engineer, Amazon Robotics (AR)

  • Develop innovative hardware designs for emerging robotic systems
  • Execute product designs from concept to production including specification, design, prototyping, validation and testing
  • Work with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality organizations
  • Write requirements, functional specifications, design verification plans, and test procedures
  • Design and adapt holistic hardware solutions for ambiguous problems
  • Create design experiments and lead cross-functional automation experiments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors and integrators

Requirements For Mechanical Engineer, Amazon Robotics (AR)

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering
  • SolidWorks or similar CAD experience
  • Hands-on experience crafting proof-of-concept models and prototypes
  • Understanding of mechanical engineering principles and theories
  • Ability to effectively communicate concepts and write technical documents
  • Experience with full lifecycle product development
  • Experience evaluating design, performance and logistical tradeoffs
