Responsibilities For Mechanical Engineer, Amazon Robotics (AR)

  • Develop innovative hardware designs for robotic systems
  • Execute product designs from concept to production
  • Collaborate with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality organizations
  • Write requirements, functional specifications, and test procedures
  • Design and adapt hardware solutions for complex problems
  • Create design experiments and lead cross-functional automation
  • Work with vendors and integrators to deliver automation solutions

Requirements For Mechanical Engineer, Amazon Robotics (AR)

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering
  • 4+ years of non-internship professional mechanical engineering experience
  • SolidWorks or similar CAD experience
  • Hands on experience crafting proof-of-concept models and prototypes
  • Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering principles
  • Ability to effectively communicate concepts and write technical documents
  • Experience with full lifecycle product development
  • Experience evaluating design, performance and logistical tradeoffs
