Description For Mechanical Engineer I, Robotics Storage Technology

Are you inspired by invention and passionate about solving complex problems through teamwork? Amazon Robotics is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative team developing cutting-edge robotic systems. As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing system architectures and hardware designs that transform customer experiences.

You'll work in a collaborative environment where you'll design and analyze mechanical systems, create proof-of-concept models, and take products from concept to production. The role requires expertise in high-volume manufacturing methods including stamping, extrusion, casting, and injection molding.

Working directly with the Mechanical Engineering Manager, you'll collaborate across multiple teams including Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality to ensure smooth product launches. You'll write functional specifications, create design verification plans, and develop test procedures.

Requirements For Mechanical Engineer I, Robotics Storage Technology

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • 2+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
  • SolidWorks or similar CAD experience
  • Hands on experience crafting simple proof-of-concept models
  • Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering principles
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate concepts and write technical documents
