Mechanical Engineer, Ring All Product

Amazon is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for their Ring All Product team. The ideal candidate will have experience in video products like cameras, IP cams, and dash cams, as well as optical systems. They will lead product design and development, considering tooling, molding processes, and assembly. The role involves driving suppliers in design jobs from RFQ to NPI and MP, collaborating with stakeholders to verify functional achievement, and resolving issues related to mechanics, materials, and reliability performance.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Leading product design and development for video products
2. Collaborating with suppliers and stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle
3. Applying knowledge of plastic injection molding, metal processing, and related cosmetic treatments
4. Implementing design-for-quality methodology
5. Utilizing 2D/3D CAD building skills
6. Applying knowledge of SPC & 6-sigma quality systems

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or equivalent, with experience in prototyping and implementation. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of SolidWorks simulation or Ansys Finite Element analysis tools, and experience in designing complex mechanical products at volume.
