Description For ML Engineer, Devices and Services Security

Amazon's Devices and Services Security team is at the forefront of protecting popular consumer products including Alexa, Echo, Fire TV, and Kindle. We're seeking a talented Machine Learning Engineer to develop cutting-edge AI solutions using Large Language Models (LLM), Machine Learning (ML), and Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques. This role offers a unique opportunity to advance security in our products while working with state-of-the-art technology.

As an ML Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing major security tooling and infrastructure, defining development roadmaps, and building solutions from the ground up. You'll work directly with Security Engineers to transform their vision into technical solutions, using tools like Amazon SageMaker and Amazon Bedrock to provide scalable production solutions.

The role combines technical expertise with collaborative teamwork, as you'll interact with product stakeholders, analyze large datasets, and work closely with science and engineering teams. You'll have the opportunity to mentor junior team members and contribute to a diverse team where thinking outside the box is valued.

Responsibilities For ML Engineer, Devices and Services Security

  • Develop AI solutions leveraging Large Language Models (LLM), Machine Learning (ML) and Natural Language Processing (NLP)
  • Own the design of major security tooling and infrastructure
  • Define development roadmaps and own key deliverables
  • Interact directly with Security Engineers to convert their vision into technical solutions
  • Use ML and Generative AI tools like Amazon SageMaker and Amazon Bedrock
  • Analyze and extract relevant information from large amounts of historical data
  • Work closely with science and engineering teams
  • Mentor junior team members

Requirements For ML Engineer, Devices and Services Security

Python
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience developing and deploying large scale machine learning models
  • Experience with batch and real-time data processing
