Network Deployment Engineer, Network Infrastructure Design & Deployment

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Network Deployment Engineer to join their Infrastructure Operations team. This role is crucial for scaling network systems to meet growing customer demand. As a Network Deployment Engineer, you'll be responsible for supporting multiple data center locations and managing capacity. You'll collaborate closely with internal customers and external vendors, executing projects under Technical Program Managers' direction. The role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and significant experience with large-scale enterprise networks.

The ideal candidate should be self-driven and possess excellent network implementation and troubleshooting capabilities. You'll be expected to work during scheduled change windows, manage cabling infrastructure, and ensure quality assurance of network deployments. The position involves up to 40% travel, including potential international assignments.

Key responsibilities include project status communication, device build validation, vendor management, and network engineering support. You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, working alongside supply chain specialists and security experts. The role requires 3-5+ years of enterprise experience, strong knowledge of networking protocols (BGP, OSPF), and familiarity with network cabling and testing equipment.
