Network Development Engineer

You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. We are looking to hire highly motivated, best-in-class Network Engineers to help design, deploy and automate one of the world's largest networks. With Amazon Web Services, our goal is to become The Infrastructure Platform to the world and our customers demand the highest quality and reliability for their services. We are expanding at a tremendous rate and our goal is to design, deploy and automate network delivery while maintaining the highest reliability for our customers.

Key job responsibilities: • Design, operate and deploy network infrastructure across all of our network fabrics. • Operate and troubleshoot network routing, interconnectivity, platforms, performance, and configurations issues. • Deliver simple, sustainable, and repeatable solutions and processes. • Lead network projects in various areas of network engineering and optimization. • Partner with our broader Network/Infrastructure organization. • Work closely with our automation teams in defining the tools that allow us to scale at higher volume. • Collaborate with Network/Systems/Software Engineering teams to ensure fast, smooth roll-out of new designs and products.

The successful candidate is highly autonomous, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, has a track record of successfully delivering complex projects with ambitious timelines, and possesses a strong background in networking technologies. The desire and ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment is essential.
