Description For Network Development Engineer

Responsibilities For Network Development Engineer

  • Scale, deploy and improve next generation networks
  • Deliver simple, sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes
  • Leverage automation to improve deployment velocity and safety
  • Work with Network Capacity, Network Availability and Design Engineering Teams
  • Drive standards across the network and ensure compliance
  • Participate in impact mitigation during large-scale events
  • Drive event deep dives and deliver high-quality documentation
  • Improve detection mechanisms by designing and implementing new alerts
  • Troubleshoot interconnectivity issues
  • Create and maintain automation scripts and tools

Requirements For Network Development Engineer

Linux
Python
  • Experience working in large scale networking environments
  • 2+ years with internet routing protocols and concepts: TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, ISIS and/or OSPF
  • Experience in automation scripting in any language (python, bash, shell)
  • Knowledge of network analysis fundamentals and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment
