Network Development Engineer

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Network Development Engineer to join their Network Fabric Engineering (NFE) team within Core Networking. This role is crucial in building, deploying, and scaling Amazon networks that support AWS services across multiple global datacenters. The position focuses on balancing efficiency, performance, and reliability to ensure customer access to applications and data.

As a Network Development Engineer, you'll be part of the team responsible for keeping the cloud running, managing all AWS global infrastructure including data centers, servers, storage, and networking equipment. You'll work on challenging problems involving thousands of supply chain variables, collaborating with a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers.

Key responsibilities include implementing network changes, working with automation teams on scaling tools, leading network projects, and providing critical network support. You'll troubleshoot complex networking issues, partner with broader infrastructure teams, and maintain networking standards and policies.

The ideal candidate should have experience with IP routing protocols, large-scale network environments, and automation/scripting. Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, various vendor platforms, and Linux environments is highly valued.
