Join Amazon's Operations Technology Engineering team building critical wired and wireless networks powering Amazon's global fulfillment centers and transportation sites. As a Network Development Engineer II, you'll be part of a creative team managing one of the world's largest wired networks, serving hundreds of thousands of associates and crucial fulfillment systems. The role combines tactical and strategic projects across multiple business units globally, from small delivery stations to advanced automated fulfillment centers in North America, Japan, and Europe.

You'll leverage deep network engineering expertise to develop technical strategies improving network availability, partnering with Software, Operations, and Engineering teams to define and automate future solutions. Key responsibilities include identifying improvement areas, delivering software and design changes, and leading less experienced engineers. You'll dive deep into complex problems, develop root cause solutions, and innovate in infrastructure management.

  • Identify and deliver technical solutions to improve network availability
  • Partner with peer teams to understand customer problems and find networking solutions
  • Define and measure network solution availability
  • Develop solutions that reduce operational impact and enable scalable services
  • Investigate root causes of customer impacts
  • Automate infrastructure testing, deployment, and lifecycle management
  • Define strategy for team processes and tools
  • Provide 24x7 escalation service on rotation basis

Requirements For Network Development Engineer II, OTIE Networks Ops & Reliability
