As a Network Development Engineer on the Core Networking team's Inter-DC & Optical team, you'll be instrumental in keeping the cloud running smoothly. Responsibilities For Network Development Engineer, InterDC services

  • Build, deploy and scale Amazon networks that support AWS across multiple global datacenters
  • Troubleshoot networking, routing and interconnectivity problems
  • Identify and troubleshoot recurring platform problems
  • Collaborate with internal teams to diagnose problems
  • Escalate to external vendors to diagnose problems and facilitate part replacement
  • Work with ISPs to diagnose problems between Amazon's network and their infrastructure

Requirements For Network Development Engineer, InterDC services

Linux
  • B.S. Degree in Network Systems Administration, Computer Networks and Security, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Exposure to various routing technologies (Cisco, Juniper, etc)
  • Exposure to Linux/Unix operating systems
  • Understanding of the OSI and TCP/IP models
  • Understanding of OSPF, BGP, TCP, ARP and Ethernet Protocols
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong logical thinking skills
