AWS Networking is seeking talented Network Development Engineers (NDE) to join their team in designing and architecting critical network infrastructure. The role is within AWS Internet Services, responsible for connecting Amazon directly to the outside world and managing the global backbone interconnecting AWS regions. Engineers handle routing policy, Traffic Engineering solutions, and network architecture supporting internal and external connectivity. The position involves managing terabits of daily traffic and making crucial decisions that significantly impact AWS's global infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will join a diverse team working on challenging problems in AWS Infrastructure Services, which owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. You'll collaborate across AWS teams to maintain the highest standards for safety and security while ensuring infinite capacity at optimal costs for customers.

As an NDE, you'll design network solutions that anticipate and solve future challenges, create technical documentation, influence technology roadmaps, and support operations teams. The role requires deep expertise in network architecture, routing protocols, and large-scale network operations.   • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Excellent IP networking fundamentals
  • In-depth knowledge of Internet routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, RSVP, ISIS)
  • Experience with Internet peering ecosystems and Internet scale traffic engineering
  • Knowledge of Juniper MX, EX, and T-series platforms
  • Understanding of network hardware and packet forwarding architecture
