NPI Sr. Product Development Engineer - Manufacturing, Design Engineering Services

Amazon Robotics, located in the greater Boston area, is at the forefront of robotics innovation. We're seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer to join our Design Engineering Services team, focusing on implementing best-in-class processes within complex design and manufacturing environments. The role involves applying design for X (DFx) principles during new product introduction (NPI), from concept to beta.

The position offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge robotics technology, autonomous movement, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. As a Product Development Engineer, you'll be responsible for integrating customer scaling requirements for safety, manufacturability, deployability, and supportability into new product designs. You'll work cross-functionally to develop best-in-class DFx feedback and services, guide product lifecycle changes, lead bill of material strategy, and drive technical root cause analysis.

The role requires strong technical expertise combined with business acumen, as you'll be making wide-ranging decisions on behalf of the organization. You'll work closely with internal and external partners, communicate frequently on technical topics, and stay ahead of potential challenges in programs to prevent risks from impacting performance targets.
