Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly motivated Technical Operations Manager who is passionate about people, operations, and technology. This role is for someone who wants to work with and learn one of the fastest-growing cloud platforms in the world and deliver extraordinary customer experiences.
As an Operations Manager in AWS Support Engineering, you will be responsible for:
- Managing, leading, developing, coaching, and engaging highly skilled technical support engineers
- Driving and further developing engineers in AWS
- Hiring, developing, and inspiring a team of Leads, Cloud Engineers, and Cloud Associates
- Working closely with peers to workforce plan, drive initiatives, and outcomes at the site, regional, and global level
- Leveraging day-to-day experiences to provide the voice of the customer to internal AWS teams
The ideal candidate will:
- Be an excellent people manager with a proven track record in recruiting and retaining top talent
- Have a strong understanding of Cloud Technology, including experience with software development, support, and/or infrastructure teams
- Possess strong project & product management experience
- Be detail-oriented and data-driven, excelling at using metrics, monitoring, and alarming to improve operational processes
- Have a passion for innovation and making work fun
