Description For Pentest Security Engineer II, Devices & Services Pentesting

The Amazon Devices and Services Trust & Security (DSTS) penetration testing organization is seeking an experienced hardware security researcher to shape Amazon's device security future. This role involves sophisticated hardware analysis and vulnerability identification across Amazon's device ecosystem. The ideal candidate will work with debugging interfaces, perform hardware attacks, and assess software security including operating systems and various protocols.

The DSTS organization, formed in 2014, protects Amazon Devices & Services customers' trust, data, and systems through security reviews, offensive testing, and vulnerability assessments. The team secures over 100+ device types, 12,000+ applications, and 100+ product lines used by more than 16,000+ builders.

As a Pentest Security Engineer, you'll join a talented team identifying vulnerabilities in devices and services. You'll need deep system understanding, creative problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities. The role offers flexibility in work schedule and emphasizes work-life balance.

Key responsibilities include leading penetration tests, providing security guidance, developing technical documentation, and mentoring junior team members. The position requires expertise in hardware security, software assessment, and a strong background in security engineering practices.
